About

I started painting at Hanford High with Mrs. Cook who had a real relaxed style of teaching. I also belonged to an art group then called the “Daubers” which solidified friendships with other beginning artists. As a young woman I took several art classes through Hanford Rec and it really got me started in learning about watercolor techniques. I then carried my passion for art over to teaching kindergarteners–where I brought the appreciation of drawing and painting into the classroom. After retiring, I started painting watercolor again as well as experimenting with different mediums. I took several classes from local artists which has expanded my painting techniques. Recently I joined up with a group of gals and we paint every Tuesday in plein air. We paint wherever the day leads us. It’s lots of fun : )
